Workers Comp

Workers Compensation insurance, or Workers Comp as is mostly known, is coverage that will protect your employees if they suffer a work-related injury or illness.

Each state has their own laws regarding workers comp insurance. In Florida for example, if you are in the construction business, you need to carry workers comp even if you have a part time worker. For most other types of business, you are required to carry workers compensation if you have 4 or more employees.   

If you have employees, it is strongly recommended to carry workers compensation insurance. It can protect your business and your employees by helping to cover costs for medical expenses, disability, rehabilitation, loss of wages, and death.
